In my senior year as a Broadcast Journalism & Documentary major at Chapman University's Dodge College of Film and Media Arts, I took a class titled "Producing the TV Newscast," where students are tasked to be reporters and production crew members for the school's weekly news broadcast, Chapman News.
As a member of Chapman News, I gained experience in several aspects of news broadcasting — on-air reporting and anchoring, producing news stories and segments, and creating content for the organization's social media accounts.

In this package, I interview Emma Melin, a 9-year-old Orange County resident chosen by the Anaheim Ducks to be the honorary 21st Duck for the 2024-2025 National Hockey League season.

In my second semester taking Chapman News, I was appointed as Social Media Coordinator for the Spring 2025 semester. While in the role, I took charge of managing all existing Chapman News broadcast media as well as producing additional video and digital content for our several social media platforms.

I produced and edited this project as well as recorded voiceovers for a section of the video.

In my Spring 2024 semester, I took a class titled "Social Media Mobile Journalism," where we learned how to create and optimize stories for consumption on social media platforms.
For the beat that we had to cover over the semester, I chose to report on women in country music. Using the connections that I made with female professionals and creatives in the country music industry, as well as notable allies, I told the stories of these women who have made communities in the industry and an impact on the country music scene.
